Big choruses without big hair. Emotions without emo. Pizza without skateboards. Fuzzruckus is an underground rock and roll band, burdened with glorious purpose, struggling with their own limitations in the harsh face of obscurity. So how and why the fuzz did this all happen?
In the summer of 2020, the days of "lockdown" and "quarantine", songwriter/guitarist with mystique Aaron Cheadle, who had found very local and very limited rock and roll "success" in his mid to late 20's (and many failures when he tried to relaunch as he turned 40) decided to try "the music thing" one last time. Like millions of other Americans at the time, he lost his job. It was a classic "blessing in disguise" however, as he suddenly had the time and money (thanks to the unemployment and Trump Bucks stimulus checks) to hire professional vocalists to complete the songs he recorded with his trusty "Rhythm Section" aka "Dang-er Banger". Murray Gardiner vocalized a six song EP, an alt/indie rock, power pop, pop rock, acoustic blend , released in April of 2021.
As Trump Bucks tranistioned to Biden Bucks, Fuzzruckus shifted to a more consistent power pop sound, working with vocalist Tim Condor. A cover of "Ghost Town" by Cheap Trick was released in June of 2021, and another cover, REO Speedwagon's "In Your Letter" was released later that Summer. Power pop bangers "Feelings", "My Fragile Little Mind", "Fortune Cookie", and power ballad "Over Again" completed the second EP, Paranoia Baby in May of 2022. In August, the Green Day cover "Redundant" completed Fuzzruckus Act Two, as they were named as part of the burgeoning #Tweetcore scene.
No more government subsidies, so selling pedals, an amp, and a guitar funded Fuzzruckus V3, the pop punk era featuring vocalist Christian Diana. Launched on October 14, 2022 with the single "Rockstar Girlfriend". A fantasy within a daydream, the single began the rock opera/song cycle EP short story of a lonely guy - Standard Rock And Roll Disaster. The follow up single, "Everything She Never Wanted" debuted on 1/6/23, continued in March with "I Should Have Cheated On You" (Like You Cheated On Me) and concluded on June 2, 2023 with "Working Class Zero". Is it a bit pretentious for an underground obscure indie band to create a "rock opera"? Maybe, but that's all part of the fun of the ruckus.
With all funding sources depleted, it necessitated Aaron to finally do his own vocals for Chapter Four in the Fuzzruckus book of power pop rock. The first three singles from the upcoming EP HELlo fiDELITY, "Don't Say It Unless You Mean It" , "Evaporate". and "You Make Me Hate Me", are now streaming everywhere.
